Since the inaugural Saint Sava Gala in 2023, transparency has remained at the heart of our mission. We are proud to share not just what we’ve accomplished—but how your generosity has made it possible.
All funds raised during our first gala were directed toward a pivotal milestone: the deposit on a new home for Saint Sava Academy. Since then, the Board, clergy, and dedicated committee members have worked tirelessly behind the scenes to identify, secure, and finalize the purchase of the ideal school property. We are thrilled to announce that the sale officially closed on May 16, 2025.
So—what’s next?
Thanks to your remarkable generosity, we’ve raised $1,090,695 toward our total goal of $3,200,000, which will cover the full purchase cost of the school and help establish a strong foundation for its future. To continue this critical momentum, we are honored to host the Saint Sava Black-Tie Gala on November 8th at the stunning St. Regis Hotel in downtown Chicago. Set in the luxurious Astor Ballroom, where the Chicago River meets Lake Michigan, this event will be an evening to remember.
This year’s theme, "Unlock the Future," reflects the heart of our mission—ensuring that every student at Saint Sava Academy receives a high-quality education focused on academic mastery, analytical skill development, and preparation for lifelong success. Upon arrival, each guest will receive a symbolic key—a keepsake representing your role in opening doors of opportunity for the next generation. Attached will be a QR code, allowing you to make a direct and meaningful impact through donations to specific areas of need, including the opportunity to sponsor a classroom and leave a lasting legacy.
